Love talking about the issues that matter to you?
Attention, Y12 and Y13!
Are you passionate about sharing your opinions with others and discussing the things that matter to you as a young person?
WhatUni? are launching their first ever Student Advisory Board and are looking for passionate and opinionated students to take part! The text below comes directly from the WhatUni? website:
Made up of sixth formers and university students, the board will meet in London three times a year to discuss all the latest issues that are affecting them. From higher tuition fees and changing UCAS tariffs to problems finding decent student accommodation and health issues, everything matters to us.
Being on the board, you will get the chance to:
- Talk and debate about the issues that matter to you with other students
- Give your opinion for articles on Whatuni
- Write opinion pieces for Whatuni
- Gain vital work experience for your CV
Travel expenses will be covered and we’ll use your views to ensure we continue to deliver everything students need when they’re looking for a university or thinking about higher education.
To apply for the board you must:
- Be in sixth form or university in England or Wales
- Be able to make the Saturday meetings in London three times a year
How do I apply?
Simply send a CV and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us why you’d like to be on the board and what you could bring to it.
Why should I apply?
If you’re in sixth form this will be a great experience to include in your personal statement and will differentiate you from other applicants.
For uni students, taking part in our student advisory board will provide you with critical experience on your CV to help you land and nail your first big job interviews.
So, what are you waiting for? Apply before the deadline on the 30th June! And be quick! There’s only two student places for each region in England and Wales and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
