Sweet apprenticeship opportunities from Nestlé!

Although famous for their tasty chocolate and breakfast cereals like Kit Kat and Shreddies, Nestlé also run the Nestlé Academy, a training programme for young people wanting to get into the exciting world of food production and supply! The Nestlé Academy is home to a variety of programmes, including graduate schemes and internships for university students but they also offer technical apprenticeships for 16-18 year-old school leavers in the following areas:

  • Engineering – for students 18+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths and English
  • Food Manufacturing – for students 18+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths and English
  • Food Operations – for students 18+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths and English
  • Food Technologist – for students 16+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths, English and a Science-related subject
  • Higher Confectionery – for students 18+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C (including B or above in Maths and English) and two A-levels or equivalent qualifications (Maths or Science)
  • IT – for students 16+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths, English and preferably an IT qualification
  • Supply Chain (Logistics) – for students 16+ with at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C, including Maths, English and preferably an IT qualification

The apprenticeships with Nestlé last from 1 to 4 years and include an attractive salary and other benefits that come from working for such a large organisation, such as the opportunity to progress into Management roles in the future. The apprenticeships are available all over the UK, including local areas like Halifax and York.
